Membership of the AOBA
Membership of the Arborfield Old Boys Association is open to anyone who entered through those hallowed gates at Arborfield as an apprentice. Completion of the apprenticeship is not a prerequisite - so if you moved on to other things before your Passing Out Parade, you can be sure of a very warm welcome.
Applications for Membership from those who may have been military or civilian members of the permanent staff of the Apprentice School or Colleges are also most welcome.
Fees and subscription ...
A joining fee of £15 is payable for Life Membership of the Association.
There is also an annual Administrative Subscription that can vary, but that is presently set at £15.
Membership Data Base
Unfortunately, given the increasing levels of Internet abuse, adding the database to our website - or allowing unauthorised access to it - is considered by the AOBA as far too dangerous.
So, should you wish to find out if any of your mates are members of the AOBA the only officially authorised listing is securely held within the records at the REME museum.
Look here to see the names of some new members who have joined us in the last year.
Should you have any enquires regarding the membership lists, only the REME Museum is authorised to disclose this information. Should anyone else approach you saying they can provide this information you are advised to treat this with a high degree of concern and we would urge you to report it to the AOBA.
