Have you got some photographs of your time at Arborfield or later, that you’d like to share with us? If so contact us about the best way of getting them on the site.

If you wish to obtain specific photographs relating to life at Arborfield or REME in general and you cannot find it on our website, please contact the Corps Pictorial Archivist at the REME museum with as much information as you possess.  Although the Museum holds about 250,000 photographs, negatives and slides going back to the birth of REME (and beyond) very few have been fully catalogued although quite a few thousand have already been digitized, including many from the ‘Boys School’ alone.

Send your enquiry to enquiries@rememuseum.org.uk for the attention of the Pictorial Archivist and not to any particular person or web site unauthorized by the REME Museum.

This way you will be supporting the effort the archivists have put in and continue to put in.  However, any copy photograph supplied to you will normally be for your own personal use and not for publication in any way.  This restriction has to exist because the Museum does not hold the copyright for the vast majority of photographs and negatives in its possession.  Should you need photographs for publication you should inform the museum of this requirement at the same time as requesting the photographs, and the staff will do all they can to assist
